PROGRAM DETAILS:

DAY 1: FEZ – IFRANE – AZROU – ERFOUD – MERZOUGA

At 8 am, our journey begins as we pick you up from your hotel and head to Merzouga, crossing the Middle Atlas. Along the way, we’ll pass through cities like Ifrane, known as the “Moroccan Switzerland,” and Azrou, a renowned Berber city. Traverse the Ziz Valley and its gorges, passing through Midelt and Erfoud. From Erfoud, we’ll take a desert track to Merzouga, where we’ll spend the night in a hotel near the desert entrance.

DAY 2: ENJOYING THE MERZOUGA DESERT

Today, immerse yourself in the spectacular Eastern Sahara. Embark on a 4X4 desert excursion, visiting nomadic villages, oases, and the Erg Chebbi dunes. Explore the village of Khamlia, home to the Gnawa people, and enjoy their mesmerizing folk music. As dusk falls, ride camels to a Berber camp in the heart of the dunes, where we’ll dine and spend the night.

DAY 3: MERZOUGA – RISSANI – TINGHIR – TODRA GORGES – DADES GORGE

Wake up early to witness the desert sunrise, then return to the dunes by camel. After breakfast and a shower, we’ll visit Rissani and Erfoud, exploring a fossilized marble factory. Journey to the palm groves of Touroug and Tinjdad, then stop for lunch at Todra Gorge. In the afternoon, continue to Dades Gorge via Boumalne for dinner and overnight at a hotel.

DAY 4: GORGES DU DADES – KELAAM’GOUNA – SKOURA – OUARZAZATE

After breakfast, return to the Dades Valley and travel to Boutaghrar, where nature’s colors converge. Follow the route of a thousand kasbahs, passing through the Valley of Roses, Skoura palm grove, and Kasbah Amredhyle. Visit UNESCO-listed Aït Benhaddou, then spend the night in a hotel in Ouarzazate.

DAY 5: OUARZAZATE – AIT BEN HADDOU – MARRAKECH

Explore Ouarzazate’s kasbahs, including Taourirt, and visit the cinema museum and film studios. Journey to Ait Ben Haddou, another UNESCO gem, before crossing the High Atlas Mountains to Marrakech. Conclude your adventure with optional lunch at Tichka Pass or continue to Marrakech to explore the Majorelle Gardens.
